Book Study Modules

Book Study Modules/ New Teacher Modules:

These modules/book studies are designed for ongoing professional development. Each module will consist of fifteen (15) hours of instruction over the period of a semester. These modules are designed to be highly interactive and engaging. Each participant will be required to complete a reflection paper and survey to help solidify learning and to improve the module.

    This book study will offer practical techniques and innovative ideas that will help teachers increase student engagement, boost your creativity and transform your life as an educator.

  • Teach Like a Champion: 49 Techniques that Put Students on the Path to College by Doug Lemov-
  • This book study will review teaching techniques to help teachers become "champions in the classroom. The techniques are concrete, specific and are easy to put into action. The training activities at the end of each chapter will help further understandings through reflection and application.

    This book study will help you understand why this book is used by new and veteran teachers, college instructors, and administrators, this is a book on classroom management, student achievement, and teacher effectiveness.

    *All Book Study modules, unless otherwise indicated on the "Registration" page, will begin at 3:45pm in room 105 at MHS.
